About me.
A little about me, most equestrian photographers tend to be riders themselves or have an equestrian background , I , seem to break the mould.
I have a background in what most people would call extreme sports, from racing downhill mountain bikes and rallying to scrambling and mountaineering. My love of outdoor pursuits led me back into landscape photography as I spent so much time in some of the most amazing scenery and this coupled with racing bikes has given me a slightly different view on equestrian sports and what I try and capture.
I started down the equestrian route as a registered BE xc course builder and safety steward helping at Central Scotland horse trials, Balcarres International, Belsay and Forgandenny horse trials. The photography started to creep in as I could always get the best shots out on the xc course as my time spent on a bike allowed me to read the courses and plan the best photo opportunity.
I am now travelling the country working for various magazines and websites attending events and I am now sponsoring a small group of talented riders ranging from amateurs with one horse to professional 4* event riders who have been around Badminton and Burghley.
