Louisa is one of Scotland's top Event Riders. She has been running her competition yard based in Central Scotland, since Graduating with the BSc Hon's from the Royal Agricultal College in 2001.

In this time she has produced six horses to Advanced level, three of them from four year olds. Alongside producing her own horses, Louisa has produced and sold horses to young riders so that they can get started in the sport of Eventing. Notably, Comeragh Hill who was sold to the Fowlies; he and Kate won the Girls PC Tretathallon Championships and Pitmedden Sprite who has taken Christina Grigor to BE Intermediate success. Louisa produced both horses to Intermediate before selling them.

Over the years Louisa has been supported by some great owners, but the one who started the ball rolling was Pam Ingleby who gave her the ride on Kings Berry. Initially he was bought for Pam to have some fun at PN, but unfortunately for Pam (and luckily for Louisa!) a sore back meant that Louisa got the ride. Kings Berry went way above what he had been bought to do and qualified for Badminton. Sadly he never got a run due to injury, but he did have two top 12 CCI *** placings.

Kings Berry was backed up by Melody River, owened by Mrs Evie Crombie, who also competeted at Advanced. He had a run of four wins in the build up to his retirement after finishing 4th in the CCI** at Burgie.

The current yard star is King Eider, a lovely horse owned by Caroline Milne Home. He has loads of scope, which is just what is needed when Badminton is the aim! Chasing at his heels is, Elton John owned by Susie Wilks and Louisa, so lots to look forward to this year.
